By Kevin Rudden Staff Reporter/Columnist May 24, 2013 As two of the three members of the Board of Selectmen continue their deliberations to decide whether or not to support a casino in Milford, I am reminded of the famous 1952 speech made by Mississippi state representative Noah "Soggy" Sweat, Jr. to that state's legislature concerning whether or not to legalize the sale of alcoholic beverages in that state.
